Turbulence Training

Up until now, I'd never heard of
Turbulence Training
and never planned to include it in UniqueFitnessTips.com.
It's funny how things work out, isn't it?
Elsewhere on this website I was able to reprint a great
article on metabolism
by Craig Ballantyne (courtesy of Total Health Breakthroughs). I knew that Craig was a consultant for Mens Health magazine and that was good enough for me.
But as I read through his background information (which was pretty impressive, to say the least), there was something about him being the creator of this new workout regimen. Of course, I wanted to know more.
One of the prerequisites for any exercise program to be included in this website is it must be something that can be done in a reasonably short period of time. I'm a busy guy. I suspect most of the UniqueFitnessTips.com readers are in the same boat. Turbulence Training seems to fit the bill as far as time and efficiency goes. So I checked it out.
You know all those testimonials with the "Before" and "After" photos? I've never taken them seriously. With a little bit of airbrushing, my grandmother could easily be on the cover of Maxim.
(Excuse me while I take a moment to recover from that thought.)
I've also suspected that many times, a picture of some 80-year old guy's face must have been superimposed on Sylvester Stallone's body. I'm sorry to be so cynical, but that's just a reality of today's world.
So anyway, I'm browsing through the
Turbulence Training Website
and although I'm fascinated by the text, I'm not paying much attention to the photos.
Until...
Oh my god, I KNOW these guys!
It was the Kuhn triplets. Chris, Craig, and Curt. We went to the same school (Gallaudet University), we all played on the baseball team, and we're fraternity brothers. None of this happened at the same time, mind you; I played ball from '90 to '91 and graduated in '92. The Kuhn triplets followed my path a few years later.
I don't really know them personally. But I do know that they came to Gallaudet and played a heckuva lot better baseball than I ever did. They were, and obviously still are, tremendous athletes. Their talent and work ethic was legendary on campus.
And here they are today showing their ripped physiques on Craig Ballantyne's Turbulence Training website. I believe it.
Sign me up!
And so, just this once, I'm bending my policy.
Normally, I will post something on this website after I've tried it. In this case, I'm telling you all about an exercise program while I'm trying it.
I've already signed up and have just started with this exciting new regimen. I'm going to follow it to a "T" except that wherever possible, I'm going to keep using the kettlebells I love so much instead of standard barbells or dumbbells. The kettlebell and Turbulence Training philosophies are both big on interval training so it should blend in rather nicely.
I've asked my wife to take "Before" pictures and we will follow up in a couple of months with "After" pictures. (And with NO airbrushing that would put my grandmother to shame, I promise you.)
In a nutshell, this very page is an e-version of Reality TV. I'm putting my money where my mouth is. My "Before" pictures are a little bit embarrassing. I promise that 12 weeks from the inception of this very page, I'll post "Before" and "After" even if I'm still butt-ugly. Together, we'll find out how good this program is. Personally, I have a good feeling about it.
In the meantime, while we're waiting for my scandalous photos to surface on UniqueFitnessTips.com, you'll get to see some of Craig Ballantyne's articles posted right here.
Enjoy!
Yours in health and fitness,
Mark Drolsbaugh
