Perfect Pushup

When I first saw the ad for the Perfect Pushup, my initial thought was: Who needs a special device for the most elementary of all exercises? I mean, there are people out there doing thousands of pushups, crunches, and dips without any help.

I stand corrected.

This device actually does enhance your workout. It caught my attention while I was in a sporting goods store and I just couldn't resist. All it took was one workout with this thing and I realized it really was something else.

You'll find you can do several sets of pushups in such a way that it doesn't strain your wrists, elbows, or shoulders. The two ball bearing, rotating handles allows for smooth movement that engages more muscles.

Personally, traditional pushups have always given my pecs a workout. I used to do a modest 50 to 100 a day but gave up on it when I experienced wrist and shoulder pain.

With the Perfect Pushup, I found that my forearms, biceps, triceps, and pecs got a really good workout. I also found that, as advertised, the abs are also called into action. It's amazing how this relatively simply device can recruit so many additional muscles.

Also, the smooth motion allows for better form -- plus when you're holding the handles, you're mindful of your grip and thus less likely to try rushing through a set.

All in all, I highly recommend this product for readers of Unique Fitness Tips. It's a great bargain (usually sells for $39.95 at most stores) and it has this appeal where you simply can't ignore it when you see it sitting on the floor.

Last but not least, a suggested workout regimen is included when you purchase this product -- just do the maximum number of pushups you can, and from there follow the suggested guidelines for your workout. It's compact, easy to do, fun, and a great, efficient overall workout!
